With the brilliant first series released back in November on MGM+, it was recently announced that the sci-fi mystery saga Beacon 23 has been renewed for a second season! The show is based on a book by Hugh Howey, and stars Lena Headey as a government agent that finds herself on board a type of lighthouse in space along with its lone occupant, a solider called Halan (Stephan James).

The very talented Steve Lawes worked as cinematographer on a number of episodes in the first season, and will return to shoot a couple of episodes in series 2 as well - we can't wait to see what the next instalment has in store!
